f)Las palancas de fijaci6n de ajuste de la profundidad y del bisel de la hoja deben estar apretadas y sujetas firmemente antes de realizar el corte. Si el ajuste de/a hoja cambia mientras se rea/iza el corte, dicho cambio podr[a causar atasco y retroceso.

g)Tenga precauci6n adicional cuando haga un "corte por penetraci6n" en paredes existentes u otras areas ciegas. La hoja que sobresa/e podr[a cortar objetos que pueden causar retroceso.

INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD PARA EL PROTECTOR

INFERIOR

a)Compruebe el protector inferior para verificar si se cierra

apropiadamente antes de cada uso. No utilice la sierra si el protector inferior no se mueve libremente y no se cierra

instant&neamente. No sujete nunca con abrazaderas ni amarre el protector inferior en la posici6n abierta. Si /a sierra se cae accidentalmente, el protector inferior se podr[a doblar. Suba el protector inferior con el mango retractil y aseg_rese de que se mueve libremente y no toca la hoja ni ninguna otra pieza, en todos los angulos y profundidades de corte.

b)Compruebe el funcionamiento del resorte del protector inferior. Si el protector y el resorte no est&n funcionando

correctamente, se les debe hacer servicio de ajustes y reparaciones antes de la utilizaci6n. El protector inferior podr[a funcionar con dificultad debido a que haya piezas

dadadas, dep6sitos gomosos o una acumulaci6n de residuos.

c)El protector inferior se debe retraer manualmente s61o para realizar cortes especiales, tales como "cortes pot

penetraci6n" y "cortes compuestos". Suba el protector inferior por el mango retr&ctil y, en cuanto la hoja entre en

el material, se debe soltar el protector inferior. Para todas /as demas operaciones de aserrado, el protector inferior debe funcionar automaticamente.

d) Aseg_rese siempre de que el protector inferior est_ cubriendo la hoja antes de dejar la sierra en un banco de trabajo o en el piso. Una hoja que se est6 moviendo pot inercia hasta detenerse y no est6 protegida hard que /a sierra se desplace hacia atras, cortando todo aquello que est6 en su camino. Tenga en cuenta el tiempo que se requiere para que /a hoja se detenga despues de soltar el interruptor.

Instrucciones adicionales de seguridad

. Use abrazaderas u otra manera pr_ctica de fijar y sujetar la pieza de trabajo a una plataforma estable. El sujetar /a pieza con/a mano o contra su cuerpo /a vuelve inestab/e y puede dar como resu/tado el que pierda el control.

. Mantenga su cuerpo colocado a cualquier lado de la hoja, pero no en I[nea con la hoja de la sierra. El REBOTE podr[a causar que /a sierra sa/tara hacia atras (vease Causas y prevenci6n pot parte del operador del rebote y REBOTE).

. Evite cortar clams. Busque y retire todos los clams de la madera antes de cortar.

•Siempre cerci6rese de que nada interfiera con el movimiento del protector inferior de la hoja.

•Los accesorios deben set especificados como m[nimo para

la velocidad recomendada en la etiqueta de advertencia de la herramienta. Si funcionan a velocidades superiores a/a prevista, los discos y otros accesorios pueden sa/tar y provocar /esiones. La c/asificaci6n de los accesorios debe estar siempre pot encima de la velocidad de la herramienta, como se muestra en /a placa de caracter[sticas de 6sta.
