Crown Molding Angled to Table

and Fence

FIG. 31

The advantage to cutting in this position is that no bevel setting is required. Cutting is done with 45° miter angle.

Crown molding of up to 4-1/4” maximum width can be cut on your saw.

Follow these instructions for cutting crown molding angled to table and fence.

1. Position the molding so the bottom (part which is installed

against the wall) is against the fence. Make sure the

sliding fence is in place to provide maximum support (see

Sliding Fence for instructions).

NOTE: Crown Molding Support (accessory BB1203)

assists in holding crown molding in place during the

cutting operation. Refer to the accessory instruction

sheet for details. See page 82 for a complete accessory

list.

These tools are designed for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts, providing efficient solutions for a variety of tasks.

The Bosch 3918 is primarily a reciprocating saw that features a robust 6.5-amp motor, delivering impressive power for cutting through wood, metal, and other materials. One of its standout features is the tool-less blade change system, which allows users to switch blades quickly and easily without needing additional tools. This is not only time-saving but also enhances the user experience by minimizing downtime between cuts.

The saw also boasts a variable speed dial that can reach up to 2,700 strokes per minute, giving users optimal control over their cutting tasks. The pivoting shoe provides increased stability and allows for precise cuts in various applications. Additionally, the saw includes an electronic motor protection system, which helps prevent overheating and extends the lifespan of the tool.

On the other hand, the Bosch 3924-24 is a powerful angle grinder. With a 6.0-amp motor, it delivers high performance while being compact and lightweight. The grinder comes with a soft grip handle, making it comfortable for extended use. Its one-touch guard allows users to adjust the guard without any tools, thus enhancing convenience during operations.

This model is equipped with a direct-drive motor that increases torque and ensures that it works efficiently under load. The 3924-24's efficient dust management system minimizes dust and debris, providing a cleaner workspace and improving visibility during operations. Additionally, the grinder features a two-position side handle for added control and stability, making it suitable for a variety of grinding, cutting, and polishing applications.

Both Bosch Power Tools models, 3918 and 3924-24, exemplify the brand's commitment to quality, safety, and user ergonomics. Their advanced features, robust construction, and innovative technologies make them indispensable tools for any serious craftsman or home improvement enthusiast.
