9-5. Changing Engine Oil, Oil Filter, And Fuel Filter (Kohler-Powered Units)

Tools Needed:

YStop engine and let cool.

1 Oil Drain Valve

2 Oil Filter

Change engine oil and filter accord- ing to engine manual.

Y Close valve and valve cap before adding oil and run- ning engine.

Fill crankcase with new oil to full mark on dipstick (see Section 9-2).

3 Fuel Filter

4 Fuel Line

Replace line if cracked or worn. Install new filter. Wipe up any spilled fuel.

Start engine, and check for fuel leaks.

YStop engine, tighten connec- tions as necessary, and wipe up fuel.
