GLASS DOOR REMOVAL:

Remove the glass door by placing the hooked end of the door release tool in the hole on the door latch mechanism (see Figure 10) and pulling the latch
out then up over the lip on the door. When the two (2) latches have been released, tilt the door forward and then lift up to unhook the bottom door tabs (see Figure 11).
Warning: Do not touch or attempt to remove the glass if the fireplace is not completely cold. Never operate the fireplace with the glass removed.

CAUTION GLASS MAY SEPARATE FROM DOOR.
CLEANING THE PAINTED SURFACES:
Painted faces should be wiped with a damp cloth periodically.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES:
It is recommended that the batteries are replaced at the beginning of each heating season. Batteries must be changed when an acoustic error message is heard. Do not use metallic tooling to remove the batteries as it could cause a short that may render the receiver inoperable.

Remote Handset:
Remove handset backing, replace the 9V battery, and re- install handset backing (see Figure 13).
Receiver:
IMPORTANT: Do not put batteries directly in the receiver.
1.For fan units only - Unplug the power or turn off the electrical breaker for the unit.
2.Pull the right end of the control panel forward; it will pivot out (see Figure 12). The battery pack for the receiver is mounted to the same bracket as control panel
3.Replace the four (4) 1.5V “AA” batteries.
4.Push the control panel back into place.
5.Plug the unit in or turn on the electrical breaker for the unit.
