Consigli generali

•Eliminate un cattivo comportamento o insegnate un comando di obbedienza alla volta. Se procederete troppo velocemente nell’addestramento, rischierete di confondere l’animale.

•Siate coerenti. Prevedete un segnale acustico o una stimolazione per ciascun cattivo comportamento del vostro animale.

•Non correggete il vostro animale in modo eccessivo. Usate quante meno stimolazioni possibili per addestrarlo.

•Tranne che sotto la vostra supervisione, si consiglia di evitare di mettere l’animale in situazioni in cui è noto che tende ad assumere un cattivo comportamento. Tuttavia, creare una situazione nell’ambito di una seduta di addestramento può aumentare considerevolmente le vostre possibilità di successo.

•Se il vostro animale reagisce all’addestramento nascondendosi o agendo in modo impaurito, deviate la sua attenzione su un comando semplice e adeguato come quello di “Seduto”.

•Il pulsante inferiore può essere usato per generare un livello di stimolazione leggermente superiore in quei casi in cui l’animale ignora il proprio livello di riconoscimento. L’utilizzo di questo pulsante rappresenta una rapida alternativa all’uso del Regolatore di intensità.

•Non usate mai il sistema d’addestramento a distanza per correggere o eliminare qualsiasi forma di comportamento aggressivo. Se avete il sospetto che il vostro animale sia aggressivo, consultate un veterinario o un addestratore professionista.

•L’obiettivo è quello di addestrare l’animale a rispondere a comandi a voce e al segnale acustico proveniente dal ricevitore, in normali circostanze. Dopo un adeguato addestramento, l’uso della stimolazione dovrebbe essere

necessario solo se l’animale ripete un comportamento indesiderato.

Insegnare l’obbedienza di base

Nota: tenete l’animale vicino a voi quando gli insegnate il comando “Seduto”.

Il Comando “Seduto”

1.Mettete un collare separato non metallico intorno al collo del cane AL DI SOPRA del Collare ricevitore e attaccate un guinzaglio di 3 metri. Nota: accertatevi che l’altro collare non eserciti pressione sui Punti di contatto.

2.Tenete il guinzaglio e il Trasmettitore a distanza in una mano. Premete il pulsante laterale e tenetelo premuto per inviare un segnale acustico al vostro animale mentre dite “Seduto” e, se necessario, usate la mano libera per guidare l’animale nella posizione di “seduto”. Rilasciate il pulsante laterale immediatamente dopo che l’animale si è seduto. Ripetete la procedura diverse volte.

3.Se l’animale si siede senza esitazione all’udire il segnale acustico e il comando a voce “Seduto”, allora l’addestramento è completo. Fate rialzare l’animale ed elogiatelo per il risultato raggiunto. Altrimenti passate
