BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
nRemove all packaging and accessories both inside and outside the kettle.
nAdjust the length of the power cord by coiling the excess under the base. The powercord should extend from the base through the slot in the back. (fig. 1)
nRinse the inside of the kettle and the limescale filter (located in the spout) several times. Boil 2 or 3 kettles of water and discard to remove all manufacturing residues and dust.
nWipe the outside of the kettle and the base with a clean damp cloth. To avoid damage to the electronics, avoid exposing the base of the kettle or the bottom of the kettle to excess water.
USING YOUR KETTLE
1)Place the kettle base on a stable, clean surface away from heat sources.
nThe kettle, kettle base, and limescale filter are specifically designed to be used together and other accessories not designed for use with the kettle should not be used.
2) To open the lid:
nPress the button on the handle (fig. 2)
3) Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water (fig. 3).
nLift the kettle off the base, then fill with water. Never use without water or fill with liquids other than water. When filling the kettle, take care to not expose the electrical connections at the bottom of the kettle to water. The kettle cannot be immersed in water.
nFill through the spout by pressing the trigger button on the handle to flip the spout cover open. Do not fill the kettle beyond the maximum level, or below the minimum level marked on the water level indicator. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may splash outside of the kettle. The kettle does not need to be filled to the maximum level if less water is desired. The amount of scale that develops depends on the hardness of your water and how frequently the kettle is used. Descale regularly, preferably at least once a month, more often if your water is very hard.
nAlways close the lid and spout cover once the kettle is filled.
