REGISTERING STATION NAME

You can register a desired name to a station which has already

been stored in memory.

The registered name appears on the display when the station is

tuned in.

1 Press the TUNER/BAND button on the main unit or the BAND button on the remote control to select a band.

2 Press the 11 button or turn the MULTI JOG dial to select a preset station.

3 Press the EDIT button repeatedly until NAME EDIT ? appears.

4 Within 5 seconds, press the ENTER button.

The unit turns into character entry mode.

5 Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the kind of character.

Capital letters + Smal[ letters

6 Turn the MULTI JOG dial to select a desired character.

7 Press the ›~ button.

8 Repeat steps 5 to 7 to enter all the required characters (up to 12 characters).

If you leave the unit without performing any operation for one minute in steps 5 to 7, the character entry mode will be canceled. If this happens, repeat from step 3.

9 Press the ENTER button.

The entered station name is displayed.

To change a character

Press the <+ or - button repeatedly until the character to be changed flashes. Then enter the desired character again.

To delete characters

Press the 4+ or - button repeatedly until the character to be deleted flashes. Then press the II button.

To insert a space between the characters

Press the < or - button repeatedly until the part to be entered as a space flashes. Then press the DISP button.

To add a character between two characters

First, insert a space between two characters as described above. Then change the space to the desired character by entering it.
