Troubleshooting

The Troubleshooting Guide lists some possible machine problems, causes and corrections. Also see Section II "Troubleshooting", pages 15 and 16 for taping head problems.

Troubleshooting Guide
Problem	Cause	Correction
Drive belts do not convey boxes	Narrow boxes	Check machine specifications.
		Boxes are narrower than
		recommended, causing slippage
		and premature belt wear.

Worn drive belts

Top taping head does not apply enough pressure

Replace drive belts

Adjust the upper drive assembly force adjust regulator to increase the force against the top of the box. Turn air regulator counterclockwise.

Drive belts do not turn	Worn or missing friction rings	Replace friction rings
	Drive belt tension too low	Adjust belt tension
	Electrical disconnect	Check power and electrical plug

Drive belts break	Worn belt	Replace belt

Squeaking noise as boxes pass	Dry compression rollers	Lubricate compression rollers

Tape not centered on box seam	Tape drum not centered	Reposition tape drum

	Box flaps not of equal length	Check box specifications
