Chapter 4. OSD Operation
F4: ADM
F4 is an administrator only function. Accessing this function allows the administrator to configure and control the overall operation of the OSD. To change a setting double click it; or use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight bar to it, then press [Enter].
After you select an item, a submenu with further choices appears. Double click the choice you want, or move the highlight bar to it, then press [Enter]. An icon appears before the selected choice. The settings are explained in the table on the next three pages:

SET IP | This function is used to select whether to assign the KH1508Ai / |
ADDRESS | KH1516Ai’s IP address automatically (DHCP), or to give it a fixed IP |
| address. |
| Enable DHCP to assign the IP address automatically. |
| Disable DHCP to assign a fixed IP address and specify the IP, Mask, |
| and Gateway in the appropriate fields. |
| Note: The default setting for DHCP is disabled. |

EDIT PORT | To identify which computer is attached to a particular port, every port |
NAMES | can be assigned a name. This function allows the administrator to |
| create, modify, or delete port names. To assign a port name: |
| 1. Click the port you want, or use the navigation keys to move the |
| highlight bar to it, then press [Enter]. |
| 2. Key in the new port name, or modify/delete the old one. The maxi- |
| mum number of characters allowed for the port name is 14. Legal |
| characters include: |
| All alpha characters: |
| All numeric characters: |
*You can enter the port names in either upper or lower case however the OSD displays the port name only in UPPERCASE.
3.When you have finished editing, press [Enter] to have the change take effect. To abort the change, press [Esc].
RESTORE | This function is used to undo all changes and return the setup to the |
DEFAULT | original factory default settings (see OSD Factory Default Settings, |
VALUES | page 182) – except for the Names settings that were assigned to the |
| ports, which are saved. |

CLEAR THE | This function clears the port name list. |
