After you set up Mobile Hotspot mode on your BlackBerry device, connecting to the mobile hotspot with a Wi-Fi enabled device is a lot like connecting to any regular router.

Use Mobile Hotspot mode to share your Internet connection

Before you turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, check that your BlackBerry device's connection to the mobile network is turned on.

1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2.Tap Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Hotspot.

3.If you've never used Mobile Hotspot mode before, complete the instructions on the screen. Read the screens carefully as they provide important information about the Mobile Hotspot feature. Remember your Mobile Hotspot password for later.

4.Set the Mobile Hotspot switch to On.

5.On the device that you want to connect to the mobile hotspot, proceed as you would if you were connecting the device to any other Wi-Fi network. You need to know the name of the mobile hotspot and the password you set during the setup process.

Find your Mobile Hotspot mode settings

You set most of the settings for your mobile hotspot the first time you turn on Mobile Hotspot mode. You can change these settings later when you aren't in an active mobile hotspot session.

1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2.Tap Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Hotspot.

3.Tap .

Disconnect a device from your mobile hotspot

After you disconnect a device from your mobile hotspot, if you want to connect the device again you must start a new session in Mobile Hotspot mode.

1.On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.

2.Tap Settings > Network Connections > Mobile Hotspot.

3.Tap the name of the device that you want to disconnect from your mobile hotspot.

4.Tap .

Troubleshooting: Mobile Hotspot mode

I can't use my device as a mobile hotspot

•Check that you're connected to the mobile network. If appears in the upper-right corner of the home screen, then the mobile network is on and connected.
