Unplug the machine from the electrical socket.

e Unplug the machine from the telephone wall socket and take the telephone line cord out of the machine.

g Using both hands, use the plastic tabs on both sides of the machine to lift the scanner cover into the open position.

Then unplug the interface cable from the machine, if it is connected.

h Using both hands, grasp the plastic tabs on both sides of the machine and gently close the scanner cover.

Routine maintenance

j Pack the machine and the printed materials in the original carton with the original packing material as shown below.

k Close the carton and tape it shut.

i Wrap the machine in the bag.
