Beskrivelse: Under opstart fra standby udfører CAP5 en kontrol af højtalerterminalerne for at se, om der ved en fejl er sket en kortslutning mellem terminalerne. Hvis den modstand, der måles mellem højtalerterminalerne er for lav, vil forstærkeren forblive i standby, indtil fejlen er fjernet, og opstart af forstærkeren igen er forsøgt.

Afhjælpning: Dette er en brugerrelateret fejl. Der kan være en kortslutning mellem højtalerterminalerne. Kontrollér alle højtalerforbindelser, inden du forsøger at få forstærkeren ud af standby.

5. Intelligent registrering af amplitudebegrænsning

Indikator: En langsom, automatisk reduktion af lydstyrken.

Beskrivelse: CAP5 er i stand til at registrere det, når forstærkeren begynder at begrænse amplituden eller overstyre ved udgangen, hvilket kan ødelægge højtalerne og forringe lydkvaliteten. Forvrængning som følge af amplitudebegrænsning forekommer ved høje lydstyrkeniveauer, når udgangssignalet kortvarigt kommer uden for den maksimumspænding, som forstærkeren kan yde, hvilket får toppen af signalet til at flade ud. Når CAP5 registrerer amplitudebegrænsning, reduceres lydstyrken langsomt, indtil CAP5 igen registrerer en effekt uden forvrængning.

Det er muligt at deaktivere registrering af amplitudebegrænsning ved at holde knappen Standby/On nede under opstart (mens forstærkeren tilsluttes netstrømmen). Forstærkeren viser dette ved, at lysdioden for beskyttelse blinker i flere sekunder.
