Using AF to Focus (AF Method)

The camera focuses with a single AF point. This is effective when you want to focus a particular subject.
| 1 Display the Live View image. |
| Press the <A> button. |
| X The Live View image will appear on |
| the LCD monitor. |
| X The AF point < > will appear. |
| During movie shooting, if [Movie |
AF point | Servo AF] is set to [Enable], the AF |
| point will be displayed in a larger size. |
| 2 Move the AF point. |
| Press the <S> cross keys to move the |
| AF point to where you want to focus. (It |
| cannot go to the edges of the picture.) |
| To return the AF point to the center, |
| press the <L> button. |
| You can also tap the LCD monitor |
| screen to move the AF point. |
3 Focus the subject.
Aim the AF point over the subject and press the shutter button halfway.
X When focus is achieved, the AF point will
turn green and the beeper will sound.
XIf focus is not achieved, the AF point will turn orange.
4 Take the picture.
Check the focus and exposure, then press the shutter button completely to take the picture (p.150).
