7.Type 3 to enable or disable the BIOS on this HBA. Enter a selection and then press the PageUp key.
8.Type x to Exit.
9.Select y to reboot.
Formatting the Fibre Channel Drive on Your
Computer
CAUTION: Ensure that your computer’s IDE or SCSI hard drive is disabled before continuing. This lets the fibre channel drive boot, and prevents accidental erasure of the computer hard drive data during the following format procedure.

Drive
Purpose
This configuration procedure takes you through the steps necessary to enable the Boot BIOS and install the Windows NT 4.0 operating system on a designated fibre channel hard drive used as the boot drive.
Enabling the Boot BIOS
1.Install an HBA into any open PCI slot.
2.Connect fibre cables from the FC interconnect device, hub or switch to a RA8000 or ESA12000 and the HBA.
3.Configure your storage logical units and set the topology to your environment.
