3.9Applicator Connection
The applicator mechanism will receive the printed label and affix it to an item. Applicator configuration and it’s communication with the printer must be coordinated. The applicator interfaces into the printer’s

Pin function explanation:
Pin 1 - The Printer provides a +5 VDC, Output, fused at 1A.
Pin 2 - The Ribbon Low signal goes low when the diameter of the ribbon supply is at the LOW RIBBON INCH setting in the setup menu. See Section 4 for more information.
Pin 3 - The signal goes low when the Printer detects a Cover Open, Head Open, or Buffer Full error condition. It stays low until the error condition is corrected.
