Removing the PERC Controller

1Perform a controlled shutdown of the system and attached peripherals.

2Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and remove the system cover.

3Remove the storage controller from the PCIe slot of the system.

See Figure 3-1, Figure 3-2, or Figure 3-3 as relevant to the type of PERC controller that you have.

Installing the PERC Controller

1Perform a controlled shutdown of the system and attached peripherals.

2Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and remove the system cover.

3Install the storage controller in the appropriate controller slot and connect all the cables to the storage controller.

See Figure 3-1, Figure 3-2, or Figure 3-3 as relevant to the type of PERC controller that you have.

4Replace the system cover.

5Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.
