CHAPTER 9: PALM REST
Turn the palm rest over and release the connector latch on the system 10.
board connector.
Pull on the pull-tab to disconnect the cable from the system board connector.11.
Lift the palm rest o the computer.12.

Replacing the Palm Rest
Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 1. 6.
Slide the touch pad cable into the system board connector and push down 2.
the connector latch to secure the cable to the connector.
Press and slide the palm rest into position.3.
Turn the computer over and replace the two screws that secure the palm 4.
rest to the computer base.
Replace the memory module(s) (see “Replacing the Memory Module(s)” on 5.
page 23).
Replace the hard drive (see “Replacing the Hard Drive” on page 6. 18).
Replace the compartment door (see “Replacing the Compartment Door” on 7.
page 14).
Replace the battery pack (see “Replacing the Battery Pack” on page 8. 11).
CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and
ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do
so may result in damage to the computer.
