10. Release the connector latch to disconnect the cable from the center control cover connector.
11. Lift the center control cover off the computer.

CHAPTER 7: CENTER CONTROL COVER
Replacing the Center Control Cover
1.Follow the instructions in “Before You Begin” on page 6.
2.Slide the cable into the center control cover connector and push in the connector latch to secure the cable to the connector.
3.Align the center control cover with the computer and snap the cover in place.
4.Turn the computer over and replace the two screws that secure the center control cover to the computer base.
5.Replace the memory module(s) (see “Replacing the Memory Module(s)” on page 23).
6.Replace the hard drive (see “Replacing the Hard Drive” on page 18).
7.Replace the compartment door (see “Replacing the Compartment Door” on page 14).
8.Replace the battery pack (see “Replacing the Battery Pack” on page 11).
CAUTION: Before turning on the computer, replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside the computer. Failure to do so may result in damage to the computer.
