To operate the RPS-600 after installation:

1Plug one end of the switch DC power cord into the connector labeled "RPS" on the back of the switch. Connect the other end of the switch DC power cord to any available RPS connector on the back of the RPS-600.

2Attach the AC power cord to the RPS-600 and to an AC power outlet.

The switch is now using both power supplies simultaneously. You can monitor the status of the two power supplies through the front panel LEDs on your PowerConnect switch and the RPS-600.
