Playing a DVD disc

•Pick up the disc carefully so as not to touch the signal surface and hold it with the labeled side facing up.

•With the disc tray fully open, set the disc in the disc tray.

4 Press the 5 button to set the DVD disc in the disc tray.

5 Press the 5 button.

The disc tray can also be closed automatically to load the disc by pressing the 1 button. After this, playback starts automatically.

6 Press the 1 button.

1 Check that all connections are correct.

2 Turn on your monitor (TV).

Switch the input selector on the TV to this unit.

3 Press the ON/STANDBY switch.

• The power indicator lights blue, the power turns on and the display lights.

Several seconds are required from the time the ON/STANDBY switch is pressed until the power turns on. This is due to the built-in muting circuit that turns off (mutes) the sound when the power is turned on and off. The power indicator flashes blue while the muting circuit is activated.

Even when the ON/STANDBY switch has been pressed again and the power has been set to the standby mode, power is still supplied to some circuits. When leaving home or traveling, be sure to unplug the power supply cord from the power outlet. In the standby mode, the power indicator is lights red. The indicator is orange when the timer is set.
