How to operate the Memory Stick player

Listening to MG Memory Stick

Press the [CD ] button for more

1 than one second.

The front panel opens.

Insert a MG Memory Stick into the

2 Memory Stick slot.

ATTENTION

If you press the [CD ] button less than one second while you are listening to the CD, the disc is ejected. To insert/eject the

MG Memory Stick, press the [CD ] button for more than one second and open the front panel.

Insert the MG Memory Stick with the mark facing inwards and press MG Memory Stick into place until a clicking sound is heard. Do not press forcefully when the MG Memory Stick makes contact with the internal stopper because it cannot be inserted any further. (The MG Memory Stick should be protruding a few millimeters from the Memory Stick slot.)

Use a Memory Stick Duo adapter when inserting the Memory Stick Duo. (If the Memory Stick Duo is inserted without the adapter, it will not be ejected from the main unit.)

When the MG Memory Stick is already loaded, press the [DISC MS] button to switch to the Memory Stick mode.

Switching to the Memory Stick player mode

Music data recorded on "MG Memory Stick" with ATRAC3 (an audio compression technology) can be played on this main unit. The following explanation of the operation is made assuming that the MG Memory Stick has already been inserted.

First press the [DISC MS] button for less than one second to switch to the disc mode. It is assumed here that a MG Memory Stick has already been loaded into the main unit.

ATTENTION

Artist name and music title (track titles) can be displayed when they are recorded on the MG Memory Stick. A maximum of 14 characters (1 byte alphabets, numeric or symbols) can be displayed.

Music data recorded with MP3/WMA and ATRAC3 Plus cannot be played.

Advancing to the next track or returning to the beginning of the track being played

Do not press the [CD ] button while the MG Memory Stick is being inserted. This could cause an injury and damage to the front panel.

The front panel closes.

Press the [DISC MS] button to

4 switch to the Memory Stick mode.

MG Memory Stick will start playing.

Turn the [SEL] button to the left or

1 right.

Turn to the right:

Advances to the next track.

Turn to the left:

Returns to the beginning of the track being played. (Repeat turning for the previous tracks.)
