4.Align the notched corners of the power supply connector with the notched corners of the drive’s power supply connector (such as the one shown below). Make sure the holes fit over all the pins and then push in the connector.

Caution

If you do not align the cable connectors correctly, you could severely damage your drive when you push them in.

If you installed a diskette drive in the upper bay, it is drive B; the lower drive is A. You can change the drive assignments through your operating system or you can purchase a different diskette drive ribbon cable.

Removing a Drive from the Upper Drive Bay

To remove a drive from the upper drive bay, follow these steps:

1.Remove both the ribbon cable connector and the power cable connector from the drive.

2.Remove the screws securing the drive.
