The column heading “Direction” refers to the direction of signal flow as viewed from the printer.
Using the Serial Interface
If you use a serial interface. you need to confirm that the printer and the computer are using the same serial settings. If the serial settings do not match, you must change the appropriate settings. The settings can be changed either at the printer or computer.
The default serial settings for the serial interface are listed below. To change the serial settings, use the Remote Control Panel utility. For information about your computer’s serial settings, see your computer manual.
