Replacing the Imaging Cartridge

The Imaging Cartridge prints up to 7,600 pages depending upon the complexity of your print jobs.

If your printed images become faint, enter the SelecType Setup menu to use the Toner function to find out approximately how much toner remains in the imaging cartridge.

Simply count the asterisks between the E (empty) and the F (full) on the display. Each asterisk represents about 25% of the total toner capacity. If you see only one asterisk on the display indicating that there is less than 25% toner left, you should get ready to replace the Imaging Cartridge.

When replacing a cartridge, be sure to use the S051069 Imaging Cartridge. Even if you have a cartridge other than S051069, do not use it; order the S051069 cartridge that is specially designed for 6 your high-quality 600 dpi printer.

EPSON recommends the use of genuine EPSON toner cartridges. Other products not manufactured by EPSON may cause damage to your printer not covered by EPSON’s warranties.

Do not touch the fuser, which is marked with a CAUTION Hot Surface Avoid Contact label.

1.Make sure the printer is turned on.

2.Gently open the printer cover and remove the Imaging Cartridge by pulling it up toward you.

3.Dispose of the used Imaging Cartridge with nonburnable items.
