Output signal, post mic mixer, controls (F)

The output signal processor chain, post mic mixer, makes adjustments to mixed program and microphone audio, before it is output to the selected speakers or other audio devices.

Delay block — The delay processor block, when inserted, provides a means to delay the audio signal to compensate for speaker placement in the situations where some speakers that

are delivering the same signal are much farther away than others. The delay processor block is identical to the delay processor available on the input and described in “Program audio input signal controls (A)“. Delay the closer speakers so that delivery time matches the farther speakers.

Filter block — The filter processor block, when first inserted, provides one of four filter selections; additional filters can be then be added. The available filters and adding additional filters are identical to as described on the program audio input in the filter

processor block (except that up to nine filters total can be selected for this block). See “Program audio input signal controls (A)“.

NSelecting “Bass & Treble Filter” inserts two separate filters.

Dynamics blocks — The dynamics processor block, when inserted, provides one of four dynamics processors. The available processors are identical to the processors available on the input in the dynamics processor block

and described in “Program audio input signal controls (A)“.

Volume control — The always-present volume control provides the same basic audio output level adjustments that are available from the front panel (see “Viewing and adjusting the output volume“, in chapter 3, “Operation”).

Additionally, the left and right output channels each have trim controls, accessible in the dialog box, for separate fine adjustment with a gain range of -6 dB to +6 dB in 0.1 dB increments. The default setting is unity gain (0.0 dB).

NThe trim settings are not indicated in the front panel volume display.

The Polarity buttons, accessible in the dialog box, let you flip the polarity of the wires connected to the audio connectors (+/tip and -/ring) to easily correct for miswired connectors.

The Mute button, accessible in the dialog box, lets you silence the audio output. This control is identical to the audio mute control available from the front panel. When the audio output is muted, red indicators in the block turn on.
