Presets Allows you to mark all items, save a preset, and clear marked items:

Mark All Items Mark (select) all parts of the current configuration (excluding presets), including processors, created ties, and mic mixes to save as a partial preset.

Save Preset Save the currently marked processors, ties, and mic mixes as a partial preset.

Clear Marked Items Unmark (deselect)

all parts of the current configuration (excluding presets), including processors, created ties, and mic mixes.

Protected Configuration Allows a user (typically the installer) to save and recall a protected configuration. The protected configuration is useful to establish the MPX Plus 866 A’s configuration and all presets, mic mixes, parameters, variables, and values (with the exception of the switcher’s IP address) in a known state, either as a troubleshooting tool or as a baseline configuration. The protected configuration, once saved in the switcher, is always present and cannot be overwritten without entering a user-selected Personal Identification Number (PIN) password. The configuration is restored without a PIN:

NThe default PIN is 0000.

Save Save the current configuration (excluding presets), including processors, created ties, and mic mixes as a password protected configuration. The DSP Configurator program prompts for a PIN to save.

Recall Recall the protected configuration.

Change PIN Change the PIN associated with the protected configuration.

Design Rule Verification Compares all stored presets, checking for possible DSP overloads. See “DSP capacity and design rule verification“, on page 5-30.

Connect to / Disconnect from Device (depending on Emulate or Live mode) — Performs the same functions as the Mode Emulate and Mode Live buttons.

Issue RESET Command Initializes and clears any or all of the following: ties, mic mixes, presets, audio configuration, processor blocks, and gain blocks. This reset is identical to the EZXXX} SIS command (see chapter 4, “SIS Programming and Control”).

Commit to NVRAM Commands the switcher to save all set variables, ties, and presets to its non-volatile memory. You should do this before powering down the switcher if you have recently made changes.

Firmware Loader Calls the Firmware Loader program, which allows you to replace the firmware that is coded on the switcher’s control board without taking the switcher out of service. This is similar to the Matrix Switchers Control Program’s Update Firmware selection. See “Update firmware”, on page 5-46.

Configure Groups Opens the Configure Groups dialog box. See “Configuring a group master“ on page 5-17.

Device Setting Opens a dialog box that provides a means to set the unit’s IP address and passwords and to set the serial ports’ baud rates.
