3.Remove the jammed document.

- Staples and paper clips etc. can cause document jams.

ATTENTION	- Make sure you check the document and the document transport path for
	obstructions before you start scanning again.

- Remove staples and paper clips from the documents before you start scan- ning.

4.Lower the ADF upper sheet guide carefully.

5.Lift the Upper transport unit to release the safety lock, then lower the unit carefully and push the unit to close it completely.
