Installing and removing PCI expansion cards

6If you are not replacing the card, install a slot cover (5) on the back of the riser card assembly.

7If you are replacing the riser card, continue with the next step. - OR -

If you are replacing the PCI card, go to Step 10.

8Press the locking tab (6) holding the riser card in the riser card assembly, then push the riser card in the direction shown (7) to unlock and remove it from the standoffs.

9Insert the new riser card into the riser card assembly, then push it toward the back of the assembly. It should snap into place.

10Insert the new PCI card into the riser card, making sure any connectors extend through the slot at the back of the assembly and that the card is fully seated in the riser card.

11Replace the card lock to secure the card to the riser card assembly.

12Position the PCI riser assembly over the PCI sockets on the server board, Then press the PCI riser assembly into the PCI sockets until it clicks into place.
