This chapter provides step by step instructions for setting up and programming
VCR Plus+ recordings, a patented and simplified method of timer recording.
Follow these steps to match your local channels to the VCR Plus+
preassigned channels. This process is know as “Channel Mapping”
and must be done before you can begin using VCR Plus+.

CHANNEL MAPPING

1OPEN “SETUP MENU”
Press SETUP/ENTER.
2SELECT “VCR & CHANNEL SETUP”
Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to move the
pointer to “VCR & Channel Setup,” then press the
RIGHT arrow key to select.
3SELECT “VCR PLUS SETUP”
Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to move the
pointer to “VCR Plus Setup,” then press the RIGHT
arrow key to select.
4SELECT “VCR PLUS CHANNEL LIST”
Press the RIGHT arrow key to select “VCR Plus
Channel List.”
5MAP YOUR CHANNELS
Using the worksheet on the following page,
determine the local equivalents of the VCR Plus+
channels for your viewing area. You can find this
information in your local television listings or by
contacting your local cable company.
•Use the UP/DOWN arrow keys to move up and
down the channel list and use the 0-9 keys to
edit the local channel.
•When finished, press RETURN to save and exit.
