Unless otherwise noted in your system manuals, removal of the interface card should only be done with power removed from the host computer. Failure to comply may result in an electrical shock hazard, or in damage to the hardware.

The card contains electronic componentsthat can be damagedby static electricity. To avoid damage,follow theseguidelines:

Storeprinted circuit assembliesin their conductive plastic bags.

If possible,work in a static-free area.

Handle printed circuit assembliesonly by the edges. Do not touch electronic componentsor electrical traces. We strongly recommendthat you usea grounding wrist strap that is connected to the metallic chassisof the host computer. If you do not havea wrist strap, touch the chassisbefore handling assembliesand frequently thereafter to equalizeany static charge.
