Caution: Make sure the camera is powered off any time you remove the memory card from the camera. Removing the memory card when the memory card access LED is blinking could corrupt the images and other files on the memory card.

Timer LED

The red timer LED on the front of the camera (see Figure 11) lights solid and/or blinks depending on the timer mode you set (see “Setting the Timer Mode” on page 11). If you set the timer mode to the:

Š10-Second Timer setting, when you press and release the shutter release button, the timer LED lights solid for 7 seconds. It then blinks for the final 3 seconds before the camera captures the image.

Š3-Second Remote setting, the timer LED blinks slowly while waiting for you to press the Remote Control’s trigger button. Once you press the trigger button, the timer LED blinks faster for 3 seconds before the camera captures the image.

Memory Card Access LED

The amber memory card access LED on the back of the camera (see Figure 12) blinks whenever the camera is reading from or writing to the memory card.
