If you remove or replace the SIM card, it is recommended that you turn off the phone and PDA functions before removing the SIM card.

To remove or replace the SIM card

1.In the command bar, tap turning the phone on and off to turn off the phone.

2.Press the power button to turn off the PDA.

3.Slide the battery lock to the unlocked position To turn on the phone functions and remove the battery cover.

4.Remove the replaceable battery.

5.Slide the lock on the SIM card slot to the unlocked position.

6.Lift the SIM card slot.

7.Remove the SIM card and/or insert the new SIM card in the SIM card slot.

8.Fold the SIM card slot down, and then slide the lock to the locked position.

9.Replace the battery and battery cover and slide the battery cover lock to the locked position To turn off the phone.

turning the phone on and off

You turn the phone on or off independently of your PDA. The phone functions must be on for you to make or receive incoming calls.

To turn on the phone functions

Press and hold the End (red) button.

In the Command bar, tap Manual background, and then tap Turn phone on.

You can turn off the phone to conserve battery power; however, you cannot receive incoming phone calls or text messages when the phone is off.

To turn off the phone

Press and hold the End (red) button.

In the Command bar, tap Manual background, and then tap Turn phone off.
