Removing the Fan

(HP Authorized Service Providers Only)

Required Equipment

∙Small Phillips screwdriver.

Removal Procedure

1.Unplug the AC adapter, if present, and remove the battery.

2.Turn the computer bottom side up.

3.Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw holding the fan.

4.Slide the fan assembly forward, and lift it out by the rear edge.

5.Carefully unplug the cable connector.
