The following messages describe compiler warnings that prevent the Assembler from creating an object file. You must correct these errors to assemble your program.

MESSAGE

CAUSE

Attempt to use an opcode that has

 

 

been renamed for PA2.0.

 

ACTION

Consult the PA-RISC Architecture

 

 

manual for the new form of the

 

 

opcode.

MESSAGE

Unknown option “%s” ignored.

 

CAUSE

An unknown or invalid command-line

 

 

option was passed to the assembler.

 

ACTION

Remove the invalid option from the

 

 

command-line.

MESSAGE

Argument is missing for "%s"

 

CAUSE

Missing argument for command-line

 

 

option <operand>.

 

ACTION

Add an argument to the

 

 

command-line option.

Illegal argument for option

CAUSE

Invalid value for command-line

ACTION

Supply a valid value for the

 

 

command-line option.
