Migrating Individual Service Data

The migration scripts shown below use the nisaddent command to convert service data from the NIS+ server into the flat file format and migrate data to LDIF. These scripts can be used to migrate the NIS+ service data, groups, hosts, netgroup, networks, services, protocols, rpc, autofs and passwd individually. The migrate_nisp_autofs.pl script migrates AutoFS maps (such as /etc/auto_master, /etc/auto_home, /etc/auto_direc, etc...) from the NIS+ server to LDIF. The migrate_nisp_autofs.pl script migrates one AutoFS map at a time. The migrate_nisp_passwd.pl script uses the niscat command to migrate all user accounts with encrypted passwords from the NIS+ server into LDIF file

These scripts are called by the shell script,

migrate_all_nisplus_online.sh. These perl scripts get their information from the NIS+ server and generate LDIF files.

The following is a list of migrationt scripts used to migrate individual service data:

migrate_nisp_services.pl

migrate_nisp_groups.pl

migrate_nisp_hosts.pl

migrate_nisp_netgroup.pl

migrate_nisp_networks.pl

migrate_nisp_passwd.pl

migrate_nisp_rpc.pl

migrate_nisp_aliases.pl

migrate_nisp_protocols.pl
