Creating the FC 4Gbps
If you cannot use the Support CD to update the adapter BIOS code, you can create a diskette using the Support CD. Instructions for creating and using the diskette are described in the following sections.
Note: For a Novell NetWare environment, you will need to unpack the BIOS Update Utility diskette using a server that is running a Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Linux® operating system.
Creating the diskette
Create the BIOS Update Utility diskette by copying the image you need from the IBM System Storage DS4000
For Microsoft Windows 2000 or Server 2003
Complete the following steps to create a BIOS Update Utility diskette for Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or Server 2003 from the IBM System Storage DS4000 FC 4Gbps
1.Insert the IBM System Storage DS4000
2.Insert a diskette into the diskette drive.
3.At the command prompt, type:
