PURITY, CONVERGENCE ADJUSTMENT

PURITY ADJUST MENT

1. Demagne tiz e CRT with t he demagn etiz er.
2. Loosen t he re tain er s crew of th e defl ect ion y oke.
3. Remove the wedges.
4. Inp ut a green raster signal fr om the sign al generat or, and t urn
the scr een t o gr een r aster.
5. Move the deflection yoke backward.
6. Br ing the long lug of the p urity m agnets on the sho rt lug a nd
positi on the m hor izon tall y. (F ig.2)
7. Adjust t he gap betw een t wo lug s so that th e GRE EN RAS TER
will come into the center of the screen. (Fig.3)
8. Move the deflection yok e forward, and fix the positio n of the
deflection yoke so that the whole screen will become green.
9. Insert the w edg e to th e top side of the def lect ion y oke so th at it
will not move.
10. Input a crosshat ch signa l.
11. Veri fy that the scr een is horiz ontal.
12. Input red and bl ue rast er signals , and make sure tha t purity i s
proper ly ad juste d.
