Network Sharing of Printer

Windows XP/ Windows 2000

Cautions:

vCheck to ensure that you can access the computer to which the

printer is connected.

vCheck also to ensure that the printer can be shared.

1Open “Printers” in [Control Panel]

vA [Printers and Faxes] screen appears.

2Click [Add Printer] under the [File] menu

vA “Welcome to the Add Printer Wizard” screen appears.

3Click [Next]

vA printer type selection screen appears.

.

4Select [A network printer, or a printer attached to another computer],

and click [Next]

vA “Specify a Printer” screen appears.

.

5Select [Browse for a printer], and click [Next]

vA “Browse for Printer” screen appears.

.

6Select a printer from [Shared printers], and click [Next]

vA [Connect to Printer] screen appears.

.

7Click [Yes]

vA “Default Printer” screen appears.

.

8Select [Yes] if necessary, and click [Next]

vA “Completing the Add Printer Wizard” screen appears.

9Check the details, followed by clicking [Finish]

vNetwork sharing of the printer is complete.

10 Open “Printers” in [Control Panel]

vCheck to ensure that the printer is added.
