Using two sets of SR-V10E, a long recording will be possible
(such as camcorder recording, another recorder playback or TV
broadcast).
NOTE:
Use the buttons and controls on the recorder for the Series
Recording operations (except when using Mode Lock
(pg. 20)).
AMake connections.
Connect two sets of SR-V10E to other device, antenna or
cable as illustrated on page 26.
The mini-plug cable is a mono 3.5 mm mini-plug to mono 3.5
mm mini-plug connector.
When connecting a camcorder or another recorder with an
S-VIDEO output connector as recording deck, it is
recommended to use the S-VIDEO connection to obtain the
high quality pictures.
BTurn on all components.
After completing the connections, turn on all the
components.
Set your TV to the VIDEO or AV mode. Refer to the TV
instruction manual.
CSet the input mode on both SR-V10E.
Turn the JOG dial to the right or left on each SR-V10E to
select the appropriate input mode depending on the
connectors being used.
“L-1”: for the rear AUDIO/VIDEO IN connectors
“F-1”: for the front AUDIO/VIDEO input connectors
“S-1”: for the rear AUDIO/S VIDEO IN connectors
“S-2”: for the front AUDIO/S-VIDEO input connectors
DPrepare for recording.
Insert the recording cassette into each SR-V10E and
prepare the playback source device.
EStart recording.
Press 7 on either of SR-V10E.
When the tape remaining time reaches to 2 minutes during
recording, the other SR-V10E successively starts recording.
(The cassette will automatically be rewound when the
recording stops.*) Therefore, recording will be continued onto
cassettes loaded on two SR-V10E alternately.
* Replace the ca ssette after rewound if you want to continue to record
onto another cassette.
FStop recording.
Press 0 on the SR-V10E which is recording.
NOTES:
When recording a TV broadcast, select in the same channel
on both SR-V10E.
If the playback source device has a superimpose/OSD disable
feature, set its superimpose or display feature to “OFF“.
If you do not want to record the operational indicators
displayed on the TV screen during recording, set “O.S.D.
(PLAY)“ and “O.S.D. (REC)“ to “OFF“ (pg.45, 46).
If there is a power outage during Series Recording, the
recording will resume automatically when the power is
restored to the recorder if the lithium battery is not exhausted.
It is possible to use the Mode Lock function (pg. 20).
