PROGRAMME NAVIGATION

Navigation
When you record a TV programme with this recorder, the
recorder automatically stores in its memory the recording date,
start time and station name. You can store these information for
up to 8 programmes on one cassette. At maximum, information
for 10 tapes can be stored. You can also enter the programme
title when performing “SHOWVIEW® Timer Programming”
(pg. 28) or “Express Timer Programming” (pg.30). It is
possible to store these information only when “PROG.
NAVIGATION” is set to “ON” (default setting) (pg.46).
When inserting a cassette with the record safety tab
intact, or when inserting a cassette with a record
safety tab removed and “REC SAFETY” is set to
“OFF” (pg. 48)...
The recorder checks the
tape information for the
Programme Navigation.
If the recorder can store the
information for 3 or less tapes,
“REMAIN[ _]” also appears on
the TV screen.
If the recorder has already
stored the information for
10 tapes, “MEMORY
FULL” appears.
If you perform new recording,
the oldest tape information
will be deleted from the
recorder’s memory.
If the recorder cannot
detect the tape
information, “NO TAPE
DATA DETECTED”
appears.
NOTES:
If you press any button while “CHECKING TAPE DATA”
appears on the TV screen, the operation is canceled.
Even if the recorder has already stored the information for
8 programmes on one cassette, no message appears. If you
perform new recording, the oldest information will be
deleted from the recorder’s memory.
When inserting a cassette whose record safety tab
has been removed and “REC SAFETY “ is set to “ON”
(pg. 48) ...
Playback begins automatically.
You can use Navigation Playback (pg.37), but you cannot
edit programme title or delete tape data (pg. 38, 39).
Turn on the TV and select the video channel (or
AV mode).
