How to read this manual
The operating instructions given in this manual assume that the user mainly operates the receiver using the remote control unit. When the same operation is also available on the main unit, the operating method is indicated in illustrations.
The [VOLUME CONTROL], [MULTI CONTROL] and [INPUT SELECTOR] knobs on the main unit are operated by turning the knobs clockwise or counterclockwise.

Select the use of each speaker and its size.
1Enter the Manual Setup mode.

The descriptions of the functions available only on the remote control unit are accompanied only with the illustration of the remote control unit. The descriptions of the functions available only on the main unit are accompanied only with the illustration of the main unit.

Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select "Manual Setup".

2Select "SP Setup".

The names of the operated keys are enclosed inside brackets.

1Select the source.
Use the Input source keys on the remote control unit to select a source.
Or use [INPUT SELECTOR] knob or [AV AUX/iPod] key on the main unit.
2Start playback from the selected source.
The iPod can be controlled from this unit. (See <iPod control> i.)
3Select the use and size of each speaker.
Use [MULTI CONTROL 2/3] to select the speaker.
Use [MULTI CONTROL 5/∞] to set its use or size.
Repeat the above operations until all of the speakers have been set up.
