When you lightly press the Shutter
Release button and the subject
doesn’t move, focus is obtained and
locked at the selected focus area. If
the subject moves before focus lock, a
different focus area takes over.

Continuous
Servo AF Single Area
AF Focus is obtained at the selected focus
area. Focus is not locked and focusing
continues until the shutter is released.
Subject moving straight
toward or away from the
camera (such as a race
car or track athlete)

Servo AF Dynamic AF Not activated in
initial setting Focus is obtained at the selected focus
area. Focus is not locked. If the
