Note

To update an existing printer driver, delete the existing printer driver first. For details, refer to “Uninstalling the Printer Driver” on page 2-15 and page 2-21.

As necessary, set the interface timeout settings and parallel interface mode (Compatible, Nibble, or ECP) in the Utility mode on the control pan- el. For details, refer to “Printer Settings in Administrator Mode” on page 10-21.

When using the parallel or USB local port, you must select the port being used. For details, refer to “Parallel/USB” on page 10-26.
