TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR

FIELD CAPACITOR AND/OR RECTIFIER BRIDGE REMOVAL

AND REPLACEMENT

Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. DESCRIPTION

The following procedure will aid the technician in accessing and removing the field capacitor and rectifier bridge for maintenance or replacement of either component.

MATERIALS NEEDED

5/16” Nut driver

Jumper wire with alligator clips on each end for discharging the field capacitor Slot head screw driver

Needle nose pliers Wiring Diagram

This procedure takes approximately 30 minutes to perform.
