General troubleshooting

 

SYMPTOM

POSSIBLE CAUSE

6. Glass Soots

A. Flame impingement

 

on logs

A. Install log set per the instructions

Inspect the injector and air intake area. Make sure this area does not have any blockage from debris and clean.

Check gas supply.

7. Flame burn blue

A. Insufficient oxygen

and lifts off burner

being supplied

(ghosting)

 

A.Ensure that the vent cap is installed properly and free of debris. Ensure that the vent system joints are tight and have no leaks. Ensure that no debris has been blocking the inner air intake at the bottom back of the combustion chamber. Ensure that the glass is properly secure and latch.

WARNING

Make sure the glass panel edges do not touch any metal parts during thermal expansion.

CAUTION

Glass replacement and blower

Always use gloves when handling broken glass.

Never operate fireplace if glass is broken.

Replace any glass that is chipped, cracked, or broken. Replacement glass assemblies MUST be supplied by fireplace manufacturer — No substitute materials may be used.
