You have a choice of either a MM/DD (month/day) or a DD/MM (day/month) date format. See Table 4:.

If your carrier activates the time and date, they are displayed on the third line in all modes (Phone, Private, Group, Net). The time of day is also shown during an active Phone call. The time and date are not displayed in Group mode when you select an Area option.

To set the time and date format:
1.	Press *, #, 7, 1.	a djb
2.	Select “Ok”. The Time/Date screen displays.	71=Time/
		Date
		Exit	Ok
The default (preset) time and date format that displays		a djb
depends on your carrier. You can accept the default format		71=Time/
		Display:On
or select an alternate format.
		Exit	Off
3.	Press runtil you see the
	Time Format screen.	a djb
4.	Do one of the following:	Time Format
	• To use the 12-hour format, go to the next step.	12 Hour
	• To use the 24-hour format, select “24hr”. (See	Exit	24hr
	Table 3 on page 9.)
5.	Press runtil you see the
	Date Format screen.	a djb
6.	Do one of the following:	Date Format:
7.	To use the MM/DD format, select “Exit”.	MM/DD
8.	Or to use the DD/MM format, select “DD/MM”, then	Exit	MM/DD
