D. Remove the Waste Toner Bottle, Plug the Openings,

and Dispose of It According to Your Local Regulations

1Open the printer’s front door, grasp the waste toner bottle’s handle, and

pull the waste toner bottle outward and upward.

2Carefully remove the waste toner bottle.

Keep the waste toner bottle upright

while the openings are not covered,

so the toner does not spill.

3Place the removed waste toner

bottle, with the openings facing up,

on a stable surface (not the printer).

4Remove the two caps by turning

them $ counterclockwise.

5Secure the two caps onto the two

openings by turning them %

clockwise.

6Dispose of the used waste toner bottle.

WARNING!

Dispose of the used waste toner bottle properly according to your local

regulations (do not dispose of it by burning).

E. Remove the OPC Drum Cartridge

1Rotate the transfer belt release lever

clockwise to the top (11 o’clock) position.

transfer belt unit.
