Clearing Media Jams 81

2Carefully remove the jammed media in

the direction shown on the illustration

and dispose of it.

3Remove the media from Tray 2, fan it to

prevent static buildup, and even up the

front edges.

4Reinsert the media printing face up.

Make sure the media is lying flat and

doesn’t exceed the media limit mark.

5Slide the tray back into the printer.

6Open the right-side door, then

close it.

The media jam message is no longer

displayed in the printer message

window.

Inside Tray 2’s Right Door

1Open the right door of the lower feeder unit.

2Carefully remove the jammed media.

3Close the door.

The media jam message is no longer

displayed in the printer message

window.
