Removing the Used OPC Drum Cartridge

1With the front door open and the used

waste toner bottle removed (see page

58), rotate the transfer belt unit release

lever clockwise to the top (11 o’clock)

position.

This releases the pressure on the

transfer belt unit.

2Grasp the release lever for the OPC drum

cartridge, and then pull the cartridge

straight out about 6 inches

(152 mm).

3Support the bottom of the drum with your

hand, then carefully pull the cartridge

toward you and remove it.

"# Dispose of the cartridge properly

according to your local

regulations.
