Table 6-72OSPF Interface Configuration Menu Options (/cfg/l3/ospf/if)

Command Syntax and Usage

aindex <area index (0-2)>

Configures the OSPF area index.

prio <priority value (0-255)>

Configures the priority value for the GbE Switch Module’s OSPF interfaces.

(A priority value of 255 is the highest and 1 is the lowest. A priority value of 0 specifies that the interface cannot be used as Designated Router (DR) or Backup Designated Router (BDR).)

cost <cost value (1-65535)>

Configures cost set for the selected path—preferred or backup. Usually the cost is inversely pro- portional to the bandwidth of the interface. Low cost indicates high bandwidth.
